Fishing report 20/3

Went out yesterday and the day before yesterday for just an hour of fishing after work. Water levels are back to normal or even a little higher than normal. Just a couple of days before my arrival to Dragsö last Sunday the water levels were down to 40cm below normal. So with this fact in mind I knew that fishing was going to be a bit tough. With just one hour before sunset I decided to stay close to Dragsö and chose some bays that looked promising...

Well to be honest I didn't fish that good and struggled with finding good speed and weight on my lures. Costa Rica and surface baits with insane speed is slightly different from spring pike fishing, that's for sure! First day and first hour resulted in two small pikes around 65cm, both of them caught on Mouse "jerk/spinn fly" in pike colour.

Second day didn't go much better and just two pikes wanted to bite this time as well. One on Big Mcrubber in Blue/Pearl colour and the other one on a Big Mcrubber in Black/Pearl colour with a "twist" of Spike it colour blue.

Our first guests arrives tomorrow and will fish until Sunday. 4 boats will be out from our Camp and me myself will spend most of the bright hours on the water this weekend so hopefully I will have some nice catch reports on Sunday evening. Forecast looks promising since we've been having SW winds for several days now and expect to get SW to W winds of 5-8 m/s this weekend.

Until then, keep your hooks wet and stay tuned!
